\ Photo By: Catherine Zaidova Glendive is a small town situated on the far eastern side of the State of Montana, bordering North Dakota. Glendive is a city surrounded by regions of reserves, which can only indicate rich history. To get a taste of that, here are three events you should check out in the Glendive area during the month of November.
If you're feeling the Christmas Spirit already (we know some big box stores already are!), then maybe it isn't too early for you to check out A Magical Medora Christmas Show. Although there are minimal details, the show runs from November 24 through to December 22. While you are at it, it wouldn't hurt to check out the rest of the history-filled attractions at the town of Medora.
Mixing Cultures of Tradition with Hip-Hop: Supaman
Supaman, an award-winning Native American dance artist, conveys hope and faith through a marriage of hip-hop and more traditional Native American culture. This is something you wouldn’t want to miss. He will dance at the Sidney Middle School, with admission only ranging between $10-$15 -- this is the spare change you’ve been waiting to spend. Sidney is a scenic hour’s drive away from Glendive, but this is a collaboration event on November 8th between the Northeastern Arts Network and the MonDak Heritage Center that you do not want to miss! You can find all the event details at the MonDak Heritage Centre website
All Ready for the Holidays? - Parade of Trees
The Boys & Girls Club of Richland County present the Parade of Trees. Plain trees are just plain boring. If you’re looking to see artistry on trees, come to check out this event. All trees are decorated by local individuals, groups, and businesses. Want to know something better? Participate in the (NEW) online silent auction to purchase one of these awesome pieces! Better yet, all proceeds go to specified youth programs. What better way to get into the holiday spirit than with the gift of giving?
